RE: XBian Release Candidate 3
I'm a little confused, is doing a dist-upgrade not advisable? I did a standard upgrade fine, it rebooted without issue, however now when I attempt a dist-upgrade I see...
Terminal xbian@xbian ~ $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade [sudo] password for xbian: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Calculating upgrade... Done The following packages will be REMOVED: upstart xbian-package-config-xbmc xbian-package-lirc xbian-package-xbmc xbian-package-xbmc-gotham-nightly xbian-update The following NEW packages will be installed: libtasn1-3-dev sysvinit u-boot-tools The following packages have been kept back: libsystemd-login0 The following packages will be upgraded: xbian-package-initramfs-tools xbian-package-vnc-server WARNING: The following essential packages will be removed. This should NOT be done unless you know exactly what you are doing! xbian-update xbian-package-lirc (due to xbian-update) upstart (due to xbian-update) xbian-package-xbmc (due to xbian-update) 2 upgraded, 3 newly installed, 6 to remove and 1 not upgraded. Need to get 602 kB of archives. After this operation, 87.0 MB disk space will be freed. You are about to do something potentially harmful. To continue type in the phrase 'Yes, do as I say!' ?] I have a feeling maybe I got myself into a package depends screw up with having that Gotham test installed. :( |
