Raspberry Pi Installation Help?

Having trouble with the inital boot on Raspberry Pi 5...

hardware: Raspberry Pi 5, Sandisk 32GB microSD card, HDMI output to TV. Have been successfully running LibreELEC on this setup for several months.

On startup, I get the rainbow Kodi loading graphic, followed by a screen with the xbian X logo with a loading bar. The screen appears to hang on the loading bar labelled "configuring network", and then goes black after a minute or two and stays that way indefinitely. Based on online tutorials, I think I should be seeing some kind of xbian GUI here?

At this point I'm able to connect to the Pi over SSH, and I'm shown the xbian-config interface in the terminal. I discovered that the xbmc service isn't running at this point. Running `sudo service xbmc start` over SSH successfully launches Kodi on the TV screen, which was displaying nothing up til this point. I attempted to solve this problem for future reboots by adding a script to the `~/run_on_reboot` directory to execute `sudo service xbmc start`. Strangely, this seemed to work only once - Kodi launched on reboot, but my script was erased from `~/run_on_reboot`, and the problem resumes in subsequent reboots. Other files that I've created or edited do persist between boots.
