is it nfs4 or nfs3 share? xbmc does not support nfs4. if it's nfs3, check wether the share is exported with secure or insecure settings. xbmc needs insecure.
if you want to add share manually, you have to add full name like for instance serveraddr:/sharename if its nfs4 you can it under xbian directly and access in xbmc as local storage ah you have name of the share. so check the other things. also would be good to export with squash all option. unfortunately i have knowledge about this on win server (how to setup) Please read rules and do a search before you post! .
