Can't connect to WPA2-Enterprise Network
Hello all
I've been trying to connect to my university's wifi for a couple of days now and I just cant figure it out. I'm currently running Xbian beta 1.1 and using this wifi adapter and it should be getting enough power. I cant connect through the config since the network requires a username and password and the config only allows for a password. I've also tried messing around with the wpa_supplicant.conf and that hasn't seemed to have helped so far either. Does anyone know how to connect to this type of network? |

RE: Can't connect to WPA2-Enterprise Network
I think you are out of luck as Xbian is configured to connect to "local" or personnel networks - I.e at home, not commercial networks like Universities. I'm sure if you have a "bona fide" reason to connect to your Universities network, then I'm sure the N/W admin can setup a non username access point.

@twinkie
xbian config is able to configure Personal type networks only automatically for you. enterprise setup is still possible by editing manually two files. for more info follow for instance this guide: http://www.codealias.info/technotes/wireless_security_wpa/wap2_with_eap-peap_using_wpa_supplicant_and_client_ssl_certificates_linux_setup Please read rules and do a search before you post! .
