Use USB HDDs connected to Xbian Pi on my Windows PC
I have two USB HDDs that I connected to my xbian Pi. I would like to connect to them on my Windows PC. In my Windows Explorer, they both show up in the Network section under "XBIAN", but I only have read access, that is I cannot write, copy or delete files on these two HDDs connected to the Pi from my Windows PC.
When I installed XBIAN on the Pi, I also installed Samba because with my very limited knowledge of the Pi (mostly from a beginner's book that does not cover XBIAN) I thought it would be necessary/helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

RE: Use USB HDDs connected to Xbian Pi on my Windows PC
I'm sure this is just a simple configuration issue where you need to set the smb rights to be R/W - they are R/O by default.
I'm not to sure how to change it in Xbian. Maybe someone else will kick in with a solution. Please read before you post How to post a log file If you liked my help, click on "Thanks" to show your appreciation.

I have the same issue since RC1 although it was working before perfectly and I didn't change a thing.
