Child of God should not be letterboxed but this is how it is displayed when run on xbian

Yes Jack Ryan is letterboxed. but it's too letterboxed.

those two clips play find on my workstation in vlc but seem to crash xbian.
this is very frustrating!

If they crash Xbian then send a bug report.

Include output from dmesg, xbmc.log and details of the crash.

in order to switch to xbian completely and free the computer we currently use at a HTPC (which is my goal) we need a browser so my gf and housemate can stream tv shows from http://watchseries.lt/ and the like.
i probably just need a light wm, a browser and vlc.
xbian is cool. I like how it picks up where you left off in a video but without a browser i can't switch over to it.
