RC2 install fine but it won't allow static IP
I've installed RC2 just fine from scratch, and all is good so far, except that it won't let me set a static IP. It allows me to make the changes but after I confirm them it tells me that an unspecified network error has occured and reverts to DHCP. Any ideas?

Can you try upgrading all packages (after you applied the frontpage FAQ fix).

unless Ι lost something in FAQs page Blush

Can you file a bug on the xbian github?

hi,

had exactly the same issue (RC3, raspberry b+) , but in this case you can/could connect an usb-keyboard to your raspberry,
than start xbian-config , stop+autostart service xbmc, do a reboot, when the system starts up , it will show you a tty,
then you can do "ifconfig eth0 <raspberry's-ip> up" at your usb-kb, you should have a network-connection now.

an other solution is: simply do a rollback from your last snapshot ( at your usb-kb in tty ), and reboot
examples:
a) btrfs-auto-snapshot rollback root/@last_good_known
b) btrfs-auto-snapshot rollback root/@btrfs-auto-snap_regular-2015-01-18-1910
c) btrfs-auto-snapshot rollback root/@btrfs-auto-snap_daily-2015-01-19-1806
