Exclamation Dlink DWA-131 adapter freeze xbian
Hi to all, i'm using the last "alpha stable" versione of xbian, I have some big problems using a wireless adapter; here all the specification:

Code:
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 07d1:3303 D-Link System DWA-131 802.11n Wireless N Nano Adapter(rev.A1) [Realtek RTL8192SU]

[  285.552073] usb 2-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci_hcd
[  285.689253] r8712u: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you have been warned.
[  285.691903] r8712u: DriverVersion: v7_0.20100831
[  285.691947] r8712u: register rtl8712_netdev_ops to netdev_ops
[  285.691955] r8712u: USB_SPEED_HIGH with 4 endpoints
[  285.692554] r8712u: Boot from EFUSE: Autoload OK
[  286.257009] r8712u: CustomerID = 0x0000
[  286.257018] r8712u: MAC Address from efuse = 90:94:e4:51:75:20
[  286.257023] r8712u: Loading firmware from "rtlwifi/rtl8712u.bin"
[  286.257164] usbcore: registered new interface driver r8712u
[  287.003939] r8712u: 1 RCR=0x153f00e
[  287.005080] r8712u: 2 RCR=0x553f00e

Xbian correctly detects and configures but after some seconds freezes with the only solution in reboot.

If i'm fast to switch in a shell the problem do not happen and i can succesfully see my wlan0.

Any ideas? The adapter is one of the "officially" raspberry pi supported devices.

Thanks in advance.

Luca

not sure, but maybe just the power issue ? does your PSU output enough juice to power the RPi+WiFi adaptor, or do u have it connected through powered USB Hub ?

I have faced the exact same problem. However, using the very latest xbian RC.
What I also tried to do is download the 'Network Manager' add-on and try to install it.
Sadly, that script gave installation errors.
