Kodi ARMv7 + NEON compilation

A lot of discussion is going around whether packages build for the Raspberry Pi 1 don't use the full potential of the Raspberry Pi 2. There is only one way to find out and that's trying ourselves.

We've compiled a Kodi version that is fully build for the ARMv7 SoC and with Neon acceleration enabled. Please give it some hardcore testing and compare it with the currently default Kodi build:

Downgrade back to the default:

We're especially interested in software video and audo decoding.

libmpeg2-4 and libproxy0 are missing. apt-get installing those works of course.
Will test tonight.

All seems Ok at the minute.

1) Installed latest RPi2 image
2) Fully upgraded
3) installed libmpeg2-4 and libproxy0
4) Rebooted.

Noted:

a) kodi xbian-config script fails (Could be basic install)
b) No issues with music
c) Played a 29Gb DTS-HD MA without issues. CPU about 10% on each core.
d) Played 29Gb DTS-ES -No problem
e) Xvid, AVI and MP4 played Ok
f) AC3 played Ok
g) TrueHD played without problems.

I know it works. It did here as well. The question is if there is a (noticable) difference between the default RPi Kodi and this one compiled for the ARMv7? Real results / no placebo's

Also, this package is not included in the apt repository. So you need to install it manually. If you upgrade after installing it, it will install the default Kodi again.

Didn't notice any significant advantages (had even some problems with NBA on demand add-on), so went back to 14.1 with the command you mentioned. Now apt-get keeps saying an update to 14.2 beta is available. Any solution.
