Kodi won't play some MKV's
Hello,
I have an issue playing some MKV's in Kodi in XBian. When I start playing the movie, it quits after a fraction of a second. I have tried converting them with MKVToolNix, but the problem persists. Also, converting it to AVI (DivX codex) with DivX Converter, does not solve the problem. Kodi quits directly. Does anybody have the same problem and managed it to solve this? RE: Kodi won't play some MKV's
Can you provide a copy of the file (if legal to do so) to some upload site, so we can download it and analyse the issue.
Please read before you post How to post a log file If you liked my help, click on "Thanks" to show your appreciation.

RE: Kodi won't play some MKV's
It seems that the crash occurs when the mkv file was accompanied bij a srt subtitle file in some cases. Remuxing with the subtitles in the mkv solves most of the times the issue.
