(Solved) Cannot install CEC updates
Just updated my Rpi2 to the latest version and all went well (thanks devs)!
But...With Rpi1 I get a problem where the CEC packages cannot be updated. At least one seems to depend on python-libcec, but it won't be installed. A manual install gives the response that the latest version is already installed. Apt-get clean didn't help. Trying to install libcec3 gives a lot of packages that need to be removed with apt-get autoremove, but running that command says 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not updated. The same as when I try to manually install python-libcec. I am stuck now with 4 packages that won't update, they are cec-utils libcec libcec3 libcec-dev Any ideas on where to go from here please? |

RE: Cannot install CEC updates
There is a 50 post thread about it on github already.
Final solution was to manually force uninstall and then reinstall all items above and python-libcec packages. Then it worked. Only issue now is with the latest Xbian-update killing sound from I2S output, which is known about. |

RE: Cannot install CEC updates
Oh, glad you got it resolved. When this happens it's helpful to edit the title and mark it solved.
