How to get serial number for registering codecs
Hi,
I try to get the CPU number to register codecs.
I tried /proc/cpuinfo as xbian and root user. In both cases I get permission denied.
How can I get that number?

Thanks

Ok, got it with: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep Serial | cut -d ':' -f 2

Thanks

CPU part : 0xb76
CPU revision : 7
