RE: XBMC Frodo RC1
This build seems okay to me, noticeably faster as well. Any chance we could get a nighly build setup using the new AudioEngine branch? I would like to test my USB sound card to push out DTS/TrueHD. I would do it my self but I have a crappy laptop and the build will probably take a week!

RE: XBMC Frodo RC1
Just moved to xbian from openelec as it was the only distribution that would play all my files correctly. Biggest problem was some old avi files that on other distributions had a 5 second gap in playback. Updated to latest xbmc nightly and got the same problem. Can supply whatever is needed to resolve.

Regarding avi / divx. When you stop xmbc and try to execute omxplayer <file>.avi , does the <file> play well? I my case it is...
Probably you have to install omxplayer: apt-get omxplayer.

Not a sulution, but just to prove that the <file> is OK.

Regards.

Re: XBMC Frodo RC1
this is apparently caused by bug in latest XBMC build, so reverting back from RC to our Alpha 3 solve the issue until new release is out make on another XBMC build

RE: XBMC Frodo RC1
I saw there were some Pi related fixes on the xbmc git yesterday https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/14689e236b72348cae153b0fb755a0aae500ea0b Hope this solves the problem. I will post once it is ready.

@Koenkk, apparently. See http://forum.stmlabs.com/showthread.php?tid=1052 - would be sweet to get a test build of this up for XBian Smile

@eth0 that build has a lot of side effects. We will use ALSA once the XBMC team decides to support this on the pi.

RE: XBMC Frodo RC1
I thought Pulse Audio was the better option Smile

I just tried a 720p/1080p video and it was slightly stuttering with audio out by 1 second. I downgraded and its okay now.

RE: XBMC Frodo RC1
Downloaded the latest commit to the nightly package for xbmc and the problem with avi files is now rectified.

One last problem I have a 1080p MKV that plays fine on openelec but stutters and constantly buffers on xbian. The file only has AAC audio and is < 2gb.

Hi, trying the mythtv PVR client plugin, but it crashes when trying to list the recordings, this is the first time I tried it, so it isn't a regression.
