CEC not working on Philips 22PFL3404D12
Hello Guys.
I have been looking around and trying to fix this issue myself and be able to use my TV remote control but no way to succeed so I decided to ask for your help. I have a 22" Philips TV with Easy link function on it so I would assume that I can used its remote control for my raspberry pi but as said I cannot. I tried to follow the instruction on wiki to configure a remote (http://xbian.org/2012/12/configuring-a-remote/) but I get this output when I "mode2": root@xbian:~# /etc/init.d/lirc stop [ ok ] Stopping remote control daemon(s): LIRC:. root@xbian:~# mode2 mode2: could not get file information for /dev/lirc0 mode2: default_init(): No such file or directory so I believe the problem is in the hardware.conf file. here my remote control Can anybody help me on this? Thanks in advance. |

Re: CEC not working on Philips 22PFL3404D12
you was trying to edit the wrong part as that apply only for infra red remotes.
CEC is a different story and use different modules. Not sure if we going to be able help with this as the CEC device have to have support in libCEC what is maintained by Pulse-eight guys. I can have a look more into it once I get home from work ~~~~>>>Please always follow rules and read before you post<<<~~~~ |

RE: CEC not working on Philips 22PFL3404D12
yes it is ON
FYI I have another raspberry connected to a Samsung Smart TV and it works very well. I did not need to do anything. Just added a remote.xml to add some more function on the colored buttons. Hope I can get the same result on this older TV. I prefer to use TV remote control rather than using my iPhone that consumes battery or Web browser app. Please let me know if you need any help or xbmc log files. Thanks again |

I think it is good to know for the developer that the keys are recognized but only wrongly.
