Video freeze playing a playlist of .mp4 files
I get a Video freeze after some time (more than 24h) at exactly the same position if I have a specific .mp4 inside my folder which is played as a playlist.
I also recognized that my RAM somehow shrinks. Is there a known issue? Any hints considering configuration or video formats? Im using xbian release that was the latest at 15. January. |

I generated a python script using PlayMedia(media[,isdir][,1],[playoffset=xx]) from http://kodi.wiki/view/list_of_built-in_functions which starts playing the videos inside the folder forever. There are actually 3 short (1-2min long) mp4-files inside this folder. The System is able to play them all several times one after another. But after some Hours I get a freeze at a specific position of one video. And it's always this video and the same position where the freeze happens. Kodi doens't crash since am able to exit video to kodi dashboard. The same Video was played several Times before without any freeze. I also noticed while that my RAM shrinks at a Rate of approx 10MB/25min while I was loggin RAM status. Freeze only occurs if this one video is inside the folder otherwhise i never get a freeze. |

Ah, ok. A little bit more clear now
Sounds like mem leaks in Kodi or again, your mp4 file is broken. Already looked in Kodi log? |

Until now no error when playing the problem video. I only get "Get- failed to get Stream" and "Got MSGQ_ABORT or MSGQ_IS_ERROR return true" when playing the other two videos. If you have any clues let me know forget to mention: No RAM Issue this time when the error occured. Maybe RAM was only a sideeffect the other times I had the error...? |
