ATI remote wonder not working after update
Good afternoon
since a recent update my ati-remote-wonder is not working anymore See the last line of this extract, ati_remote is unregistred. Code: [ 8.799760] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 243 I tried to downgrade the kernel with apt-cache madison linux-image-bcm2836 apt-get install linux-image-bcm2836="4.9.96+-1524776180" the dmesg output is slightly different but the remote is still not working Code: [ 13.573643] Registered IR keymap rc-rc6-mce I have checked my config files, everything seems unchanged... Any idea? |

RE: ATI remote wonder not working after update
Which version of xbian-package-lirc do you have installed?
There is a new one in devel repository, but I do not suppose that you have enabled this repository. Anyway, can you check if xbian-package-lirc has been updated? FYI: lirc_atiusb module is not longer available since kernel version 4.13, so the xbian-package-lirc package has been modified, but since there are a lot of changes in that package (it does not longer contain binaries, it's just a meta package for lirc), it is still not put into staging repository You can post /var/log/upstart/lirc.log here, after you have removed that file and system rebooted. |

RE: ATI remote wonder not working after update
Well I've activated both devel and staging repos, updated, and it won't even boot.
It seems I've been playing too much with this install. It doesn't matter. I'm leaving for a week of holidays. When I'm back I'll set up everything from scratch, and will let you know what happens. Thanks a lot |

RE: ATI remote wonder not working after update
Hello I'm back
I've reformatted my card, activated the devel repo and updated the file: Code: root@xbian:/home/xbian# cat /var/log/upstart/lirc.log I'm still stuck with my remote, I've tried to play with the config files in /etc/lirc/lircd.conf.d with no success the x10.conf file is my config file, but kodi ignores it. |

RE: ATI remote wonder not working after update
Welcome back
if you run irw, do you see any events when pressing buttons on your remote? Which version of lirc do you have installed? Terminal dpkg -l | grep -w lirc |

RE: ATI remote wonder not working after update
Hmmm, that's weird
But I'm surprised, tested here and this remote isn't mostly not working, neither atilibusb nor devinput driver is stable. Maybe kernel issue (using 4.18.0 rc4 at the moment) Have to investigate tomorrow with 4.14 kernel Btw, lirc version is same I'm using |

Sure, next Kodi Leia release is in devel repo, and if you run a full upgrade, you'll get this version. But you was never been told to do that I have some results: 1) The new lirc version (or atilibusb driver) can not deal with the old version of x10-atiwonder.conf remote configuration file I was downloading version from sourceforge by command irdb-get download atiusb/atilibusb.lircd.conf and build from this version new release of 10-atiwonder.conf file. Now its working again 2) atilibusb driver still a bit unreliable, even with kernel 4.14, sometimes lircd complains: Code: lircd-0.10.1[27019]: Error: couldn't initialize USB receiver: Resource temporarily unavailable --logfile /var/log/lircd to LIRCD_ARGS parameter in /etc/default/lirc, for example Terminal root@kmxbilr2 /tmp # cat /etc/default/lirc | grep LIRCD_ARGS LIRCD_ARGS="--loglevel=WARNING --logfile /var/log/lircd" Tonight I'll build new version of xbian-package-lirc |

RE: ATI remote wonder not working after update
New version built an uploaded into devel repo
Please note, that the new file x10-atiwonder.conf is declared as conf file, means that if you ever had modified this, it will not be overwritten on package install. You will get a x10-atiwonder.conf.dpkg-dist instead. And --logfile /var/log/lircd has been added to /etc/default/lirc LIRCD_ARGS parameter to make the package a bit more compatible to the prior version |

Concerning Leia I know I should upgrade only the lirc package, but once launched the apt-get upgrade, it was too late. I will reinstall tomorrow. Will the new version of xbian-package-lirc be in stable or devel repo? |

The card is formatted. I just have to wait for the package to be available. What would we be doing without you! Code: root@xbian:/home/xbian# apt-cache madison xbian-package-lirc |
