Difference between xbian-config and apt
Hi,
Recently I noticed that sometimes there are no updates available in 'xbain-config' but are available via 'apt upgrade' I tried looking for an answer for this in the forums\FAQ\github but cannot find it. My apt sources.list is up to date. Is there any reason for this difference? (perhaps stability?) |

RE: Difference between xbian-config and apt
Can you show an example ?
I believe some packages are pinned but dont know how this affects apt upgrade. There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't |

RE: Difference between xbian-config and apt
For example, yesterday I was running XBian 20171002 and in xbian-config there was no update.
When using apt upgrade XBian 20171110 was available. Edit: By the way I ran option 1, 2 and 3 in the xbian-config update section. |
