Remote not working - Tutorial doesn't help
Hi,
For the record: I'm using Xbian 1.0a4 with XBMC 12.0. My TV remote seems unable to control XBMC. I've followed the tutorial (Configuring a remote), but "mode2" just gives errors like Code: root@xbian:/home/xbian# mode2 Trying 'irw' outputs nothing, and irrecord says Code: root@xbian:/home/xbian# irrecord /home/xbian/remote.conf I searched the forums and tried this: http://forum.xbian.org/thread-414-post-4192.html#pid4192 But that gives me no output either when pressing buttons. However, it's not like the remote does NOTHING. When I use it, it just 'shifts' the screen. To the left, right, top, bottom. The screen just shifts out of frame instead of just handling the menu. Can you guys help me out here, because it would be great if I could control XBian with a remote. Thanks. Tom |

RE: Remote not working - Tutorial doesn't help
Philips 42PES00001D/H and its remote.
We also have a Logitech Harmony One, but I don't know how to configure it for Xbian/XBMC/Pi, etc. If I set the Harmony One to control our TV, it just functions as our TV remote so it has the same problem with XBian. |

RE: Remote not working - Tutorial doesn't help
libCEC is having some major issues atm, https://github.com/Pulse-Eight/libcec/issues/109 . Unfortunately we have to wait for an update from their side. If they fix it we will insta include it

RE: Remote not working - Tutorial doesn't help
Follow the same steps, but it should work when you set it as MCE Remote.

RE: Remote not working - Tutorial doesn't help
Well, tried that, but didn't got that working either..
Is it possible to just buy an IR-receiver, plug it into the Pi and configure the Harmony for that? |
