When I stream from TVersity to my RB-PI I see black screen and hear the audio well
(no subtitles either).

Suggestions ?
The files are MKV 720p.

Any recommendation for a better way to watch my files from my PC with proper subtitles other than TVersity ?

Thanks

check my signature and also provide Media Info of the file you trying to play.
Search for MediaInfo software

Re: No video
I would try UMS (Universal Media Server).

Although you will want to follow rikardo1979's advice in order to find the root cause of your issue

RE: No video
MediaInfo gave me the following :
MPEG-4 at 3702 Kbps
Video Stream AVC
Audio Stream AVC

I browse my folders from the UMS and play in MEncoder transcoded
I can hear the sound but I see the same folder screen

if I press rapidly "back" till I get to the movie screen I get a black screen without any video or subtitles
I can press the title and see in real time the encoding / stream / cpu usage (I didn't gave it too much attention).
