Yeah, this is annoying! It's a weird issue.

Have tried different hdmi-cables, but have only this one tv.

How easy is it to setup the pi with an external sound-card? Unless my tv decides to be nice, that may be what I need to do to resolve this!?

I would say it is some HW issue. Do you have any chance to test it in your m8's maybe or neighbour?

I never faced any issue like that and youtube always work smoothly and sound level always remain clear on youtube. You have better to use the genuine voice or quality speakers to get rid of this problem.

Ok, This is a TV hardware issue. Finnally got around to checking other TVs and no issues there. Will solve with new TV I guess..

Well, if you just come across the issues with a few videos, that may be caused by copyright restriction, YouTube audio and video separation technology. you can do nothing to it. However, if there are some errors on your devices, you can try this http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/no-sound-on-youtube-online-playing.html that has provides some remedies for no sound YouTube.
