RE: XBian 1.0 Alpha 4 Bugthread
I changed the sources.xml file's owner to xbian. Now my sources persist through a reboot. But the library won't update. I have it set to update on startup and have tried starting it manually, every time the progress window just comes up for a short while and the last item I see displayed is "compressing database" and then the progress window disappears. I do not have it set to hide progress.
any help will be greatly appreciated. |

RE: XBian 1.0 Alpha 4 Bugthread
I'm compiling a new XBMC atm, will make a thread called "XBMC Frodo RC2" here: http://forum.xbian.org/forum-21.html This should fix it.

A small bug...screen calibration isn't surviving a reboot.

RE: XBian 1.0 Alpha 4 Bugthread
BUG: XVid Video results in blank screen and only audio playback.
Bug playing ONLY SOME XViD files. Encoding format listed at the end. What happens: Starts video playback, but with no picture, AUDIO ONLY. On the IRC we talked that this is probably caused by non-supported hardware decoder, or stuff like that. Could be also a XBMC bug. To be checked if other distros (RaspBMC, OpenELEC, etc) reproduce it. I reported it on github https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian/issues/182#issuecomment-11788771 1. I shared a film library from xbmc on my htpc to my raspberry by UPnP 2. I list all my films on raspberry correctly. 3. I start a xvid film 4. Film starts, I hear audio but no images. 5. I copy the film on usb and all works fine... Will still investigate, though, as this might be just one of the cases. Hope this is useful to someone. Regards, Boyan. |

If so and you have some minutes, can you please try it with the value 114 again? I've read somewhere some days ago that the OpenElec guys choose 100 as the perfect value. Now you have more luck with 128. So perhaps 114 is the great middle value I didn't had this error with 100 before (xvid, mp4, mkv, 720p, 1080p), so I can't test it myself. And did this error occur from an USB drive or via WiFi/LAN? |

Xbian constantly reboots
Hi guys,
I have put Xbian Alpha 4 image on my Transcend SD card, powered up my Pi with 5V-1A charger I use for my Kindle. And it constantly reboots. It is fast, so I cannot quite grasp the latest log messages on the screen, but they are about daemons initialization. I understand that my problem probably is not related to Xbian at all, but I hope someone might put me in the right direction here, because I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem with so many possible variables. Maybe it is bad power supply. Maybe it is bad card. Maybe it is faulty Pi itself. How do I actually figure out this? Any help would be appreciated. P.S. Archlinux works, but hangs seemingly random sometimes. |

RE: Xbian constantly reboots
I've tried Kindle charger and I found it to week for RPi so I would say it is power related
Please try another PSU if you can ~~~~>>>Please always follow rules and read before you post<<<~~~~ |
