Cant copy Backup file to XBMC-Backup
I have created a home backup of xbian through xbian-config and moved it to my removable usb stick for when i need it, but when i try to copy it back into root/xbmc-backup through the file manager it will not copy across? Is the root directory read only? how can i copy it across to restore??
Thanks Scott |

RE: Cant copy Backup file to XBMC-Backup
You need to put it in the directory "Put_here_to_restore" then the restore will happen automatically.

RE: Cant copy Backup file to XBMC-Backup
The problem is that I can't copy the backup I have on a usb flash drive to the restore folder. It just says one or more files could not be copied?

RE: Cant copy Backup file to XBMC-Backup
Well that's completely different to your first post.
1) Verify the backup file with gzip or winrar. 2) Post the output of the command an the error message Please read before you post How to post a log file If you liked my help, click on "Thanks" to show your appreciation.

RE: Cant copy Backup file to XBMC-Backup
@YippeeKaiay
correct dir for uploading is /xbmc-backup/put_here_to_restore . also, "restore-home" service needs to be started Code: sudo start restore-home /xbmc-backup/put_here_to_restore will appear and should be writable for everyone Please read rules and do a search before you post! .
