Heart CUBOX-i image
XBian now support Cubox-i platform with two models,

i.MX6 Dual and i.MX6 Quad

solo and dual lite should work with small change too (but can't test).

http://xbian.brantje.com/images/xbian-cubox.1.img.gz

to install, just gunzip the file and dd to sdcard

Code:
wget http://xbian.brantje.com/images/xbian-cubox.1.img.gz
gunzip xbian-cubox.1.img.gz
dd if=./xbian-cubox.1.img of=/dev/XXXXXX bs=1m

img is having all properties as XBian for RPI. so updates through .deb, all add-ons and XBian applications packs are available for this image running Cubox-i too.

I haven't tested BT, but other components are working fine (sound/SPDIF/hdmi, wlan, lan, rtc, multi head frame buffered video, GL and GLEs support, cec though hdmi, IR port).

one of the hardest videos we had here as shutter test for RPI runs on Cubox i4pro with 8% system load. it is ~30GB FullHD video with DTS-MA 7.1 software downmix. even runs as XBMC background while one brows menu & add ons.

Shouldn't an RC1-release of XBian for RPi be a front-page message?

RE: CUBOX-i image
I only want to say my very big congratulations to the Xbian team and especially to Matus to provide one of the first distributions. I hope it will boost the "fame" of Xbian and I hope the CuBox-Team will acknowledge your work and will perhaps another device for further development.

If the cuBox will now be a full supported device I think you should open a new category for it. Especially as xraxor is already sending all users here from the CuBox forum Wink

Unfortunately I don't have a device yet. It's a shame that SolidRun still can't provide a higher number of devices and that the next branch will be shipped end of march first Sad

Again - great work Matus. Your passion and hard work over the last months is really amazing. I remember your first short comment and conversation with CurlyMo at github. I think back then, you didn't imagine what will follow... Wink

RE: CUBOX-i image
end of march? wow, that's pretty awful...especially If they want to compete with popular devices like the Raspberry Pi. if there production is really that slow the hardware is getting old before there is a good user base :/
but nevertheless: let's hope the best for now

RE: CUBOX-i image
@namtih - I've created a new thread especially for the Cubox Here, however supporting it is going to be difficult especially with the limited amount of users with the hardware. Yet, if it is just internal Xbian, then there should be no differene.
