Why is this thread still open? RC3 is at least two months old.

The newest version is just a dated number, no real way to discuss that properly.

Which kernel do you want to try? Pi 1 or 2?

Nothing to learn, just have to add something to the boot config.

I've lost interest waiting around for testers...when someone is trying to help with your issue you really should stick around or at least let them know when you will be able to test.

Found some info on the rpi forum about this. Will be trying it later on today if I get time.

For those who want to try it see details here.....

...But it didn't cure the problem, so bye bye Kodi for me Sad

Skywatch.

It was more than just that, you need the latest firmware and to download and run mkknlimg on your kernel.

I had a kernel packaged up for testing but you disappeared.

Thanks, I am sorry but I had no idea you were waiting for me. My parents are in their mid 80's now and I like to see them as much as I can while there's still time, that's where I 'disappeared' to.

Both Kodi upgrades are not working right. The one with the original problem also had a PSU problem and I have now swapped that out. The audio dropouts continued but I will test again tonight/tomorrow and try again to upgrade.

As for the other pi (also upgraded to Kodi at the weekend) it stutters like crazy at first play, but then seems to settle down after a minute or so and seems to be OK after that. At least thats what I managed to test so far. This one is still on Kodi, the other I flashed back to Gotham for usability.

S.

After a few crashes I found empty, temporary directories like this:
/home/xbian/.xbmc/userdata/tmp.TjtLBn3sKJ

It's empty for sure but I can't remove it:
Code:
rm -fR tmp.TjtLBn3sKJ
complain that directory is not empty

Seems the filesystem is broken.
Is there a way to fix mounted filesystem without removing SD card ?

Are you sure its entirely empty ?

Terminal
sudo ls -al /home/xbian/.xbmc/userdata/tmp.TjtLBn3sKJ
Yes, I'm sure.
No dot files, no directories.. nothing.
Now I have three directories like this.

RE: XBian Release Candidate 3
Sorry man, my v1 & v2 Pi running XBian do not have the same files ... I am at a loss here. Hope you can get it sorted out.

If rm -rf isn't working either your card is damaged or it's mounted read only.

What is the output of 'mount'?
