I'd like to know how you moved from the xbmc-alsa package to the latest kodi please Skywatch!

@min

Just follow the instructions from mk01 in post #4 on this thread.

If you use a network device then make a copy of /etc/fstab before you upgrade as you will most likely loose those settings in the process. Also see this and other posts on how to get back your addons and librarys after the upgrade (unless it's now fixed?). Always reboot when it suggests to.

When finished use xbian-config to do an update and then upgrade. This should do it.

Skywatch.

Terminal
root@xbian:/home/xbian# apt-cache policy xbian-package-xbmc
xbian-package-xbmc:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: (none)
Version table:
13.2-RLS-1411559513 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Sadface!

Are you on staging skywatch?

@min

No, only on stable here.

If you want to, try.....
sudo apt-get install xbian-package-xbmc=14.1-1423177674

What happens then?

Skywatch.

Seems to be installing now- I saw in another post that an 'rpi-wheezy' needed to be added to sources as well and I'd just done that prior to your post.

I thought you were going to upgrade to Kodi...but a working xbmc is still better than none at all!

What bugs are you getting?

Yeah I guess I have to get used to saying kodi, oops!

Bugs so far: crash on resolution change, settings and library removed, alsa output sends all audio to hifiberry rather than just music as before.

I know there's a fix for settings, but will leave the rest for another day..
