People begged for Kodi so we provided it, although we never happy with it ourselves. Problem is that if you don't provide the very latest software, you'll lose users, despite the good reasons we might have had for it.

Understand how that goes very well.

So are you saying Kodi has performance issues? or is this simply a Xbian adoption of Kodi issue?
Hate the sluggish gui.. yes, kinda agree with you, I have not seen any benefit of v14 yet. At least not something that is obvious in daily use. perhaps the goodness of v14 is under the hood.
