RE: Enabling the native controller support
Thanks for the explanation! I think it's better to drop SDL.

That's also the whole point of the /opt/vc stuff. Libraries for using the Broadcom hardware directly.

RE: Enabling the native controller support
Could anyone provide a link to a version of xbmc where joysticks are enabled so you can configure actions in ~/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps/joystick.map.xml? Seems like most of the distributions were compiled with joysticks disabled. Why is that I wonder: does it adversely affect other peripherals like remotes or mice?

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I am currently using the XBian_1.0_Beta_1.1.img

@manzaiya

our branch of frodo currently doesn't compile with --enable-joystick

gotham does, but is not available to XBian version prior Beta2.

Are gaming controllers compatible with XBMC in Gotham now?

RE: Enabling the native controller support
I have seen lately Gotham build log containing SDLJoystick.cpp being compiled (although it wasn't explicitly enabled on ./configure). needs to be tested.
