					Been trying to playback some avi files extracted from a couple of DV tapes, all I get is a blank screen . Is there a codec available to enable playback? | |||

					what codec? if it is MPEG2 than yes you would need licence

					to be honest, im not sure about your file format.Maybe it would be best just simply convert the file into more common codec ?

					ultimately I will, until then I need to keep in this format as it's the master.. If anything once I've compiled and sorted the scene changes I'll rip that to a more usable format (instead of 85 files totalling 25Gb, just the 1 at around 1Gb) but wanted to watch the raw video before I start faffing with it.. | |||
