I'm trying to upgrade xbian-package-config-xbmc from version 1.2.0-1 to 20150207-1, but I keep on getting the following error

Terminal

Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xbian-package-config-xbmc : Depends: xbian-update (>= 1.0.2-7c) but it is not going to be installed

What should I do?
I've even tried to download the package and install it manually, but it didn't work!

Best regards

OK, maybe nobody is answering, because I didn't share the details of my installation.
So, I have a Raspi B (512mb), I use the stable repo.
What else you need to know?

Since i just seem to idle along here, i sent a PM to member. I was having an "update" issue a few weeks back. Was directed to look at the "FAQ" at that time. I could have sworn i had done the repository update. But that was my update errors. I hope the problems are gone and your XBian is up to date and running like the BEAST it is =)

Thank you CRS.
The problem was in my setup. rpi-wheezy was missing in my sources list.
Now it is fixed and I have an up-to-date xbian.
Hi!

I'm not sure if i post in the right thread.
I've used xbian with xbmc (the old version) and it worked fine.

Since i've installed the last release with kodi i can't play any internet stream (youtube, shoutcast, movies streaming sites).

I've completly reinstalled it (formated the sd card and destroyed the partitions on it) using the last image aviable ( from 20.02.15) and also updated it today.

I'me using a raspberry pi B model.

I attach the logs from shoutcast2 and youtube plugin.

Thank you,
Marius

Thank you Rikardo!

I hope it will be solved quickly, because i have tried othe kodi distributions for raspberry pi and it works.
Hello,
After a few crashes I found empty, temporary directories like this:
/home/xbian/.xbmc/userdata/tmp.TjtLBn3sKJ

It's empty for sure but I can't remove it:
Code:
rm -fR tmp.TjtLBn3sKJ
complain that directory is not empty

Seems the filesystem is broken.
Is there a way to fix mounted filesystem without removing SD card ?
Try restoring a backup.

Are you sure its entirely empty ?

sudo ls -al /home/xbian/.xbmc/userdata/tmp.TjtLBn3sKJ
Hi guy's,

i maybe just found a bug,
with the latest update and latest version with the installer, if i set my overclock to turbo (1000MHZ), it won't get past "to dropdown to shell..."
and it all freezes, when its set to xbian, everything boots normally, did 4 reinstalls same result every time

evrything worked before i updated

*edit everything up to turbo works

*edit 2 so, some other problems that i get, CEC somtimes disconect, it says tv unplugged, and random freezes, at this point 'xbian' speed is the stable one, is this software or rather hardware related?
I2S Audio Problem with latest release.

Yesterday I updated/upgraded to the latest 14.2 beta and now I get random frequent dropouts playing music via external dac.

Audio plays fine for a while, then I get one second sound, one second silence, one second sound etc. This happens for between a few seconds and a minute. Then the music plays fine again for a while before this happens all over again.

I have rebooted the pi and the server the music is stored on, still the problem happens.

@Kevin Verbeke Overclocking to 1ghz is not supported

@Skywatch Could you grab dmesg and kodi log and pastebin them after some dropouts

Dmesg here......

Thanks.

Skywatch,
How are you playing the files? In kodi from a remote location?
Yup! - All from a central server.

Any idea?

I am working on something kernel related that may help, do you know how to use device tree?
i am fallowing the above. I installed an Onkyo receiver in december & my audio was also skipping. Put the Pi directly back on tv, my work around. Would like to test again on the Onkyo.
