For RC2 use

I can't seem to get 5.1/DTS HDMI passthrough working.
The option in the system/audio settings to enable this is now gone?
I can still select it although i don't have HDMI capable devices.
@
glennbot It works for me. Are you sure HDMI is selected and not SPIF
I think you need to increase settings level to "Advanced" or "Expert".

Good point, however, I have noticed that that option is not available in the default confluence-for-xbian skin but is in the normal confluence.
I have had many problems with that skin, so I think we need to remove it as the default.
[Solved]
Change the appearance back to 'Confluence'
You then can select Advanced Settings and make the change.
DTS passthrough on HDMI works perfectly now.
Thanks!

the strange thing is that there is no mapping to /dev/sd* device
is there something missing in kernel???

albrto I've never experienced any issues with either wlan or eth.
Are you sure they have been set correctly and on the same network?
If you're still having issues can you post the output of dmesg and xbmc.log via pastebin and /etc/network/interfaces directly

Haven't checked but I do know uPnP is off by default - I guess you have checked.
What sort of error messages do you get - if any.
I guess dmesg and xbmc.log might be useful.
@
didlich There shouldn't be a problem with any USB devices. Can you post the out\put of dmesg and xbmc.log via pastebin and the output of "df -h" here.
Report any error messages if applicable.
Sorry I just noticed I have been posting my major issue (XBMC rebooting every 30-60sec after clean flawless install and upgrade) in the beta2 thread instead of this one. I have a dmesg there but its mostly about CEC.

i had the same issue so i reinstalled the latest image and did not upgrade it
this works but cec still has allot of issues
- can't control volume of receiver
- cec disconnecting allot
- sometimes screen goes black when playing a video and need to restart receiver to show image/sound again (this does not happen with rpi/xbian)
it seems to me that xbian is still not ready for normal use
i always expect some minor bugs but these are pretty big
