RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread
@calisro Very strange.
What .img file are you using? Can you post the output from dmesg. Also can you try creating the image (The latest from the website) from a windoze machine with W32diskimager and see if you have the same problems. I have a feeling your DD might be at fault Please read before you post How to post a log file If you liked my help, click on "Thanks" to show your appreciation.

As a matter of fact, I just installed 1.1 hotfix using dd from the same Unbuntu 13 installation and its working great. I also know this isn't a power issue because I actually reduced the power consumption (no USB devices) on the same power supply I have used for about 6 months now. Its a good supply. |

RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread
I successfully updated to beta 2 and everything seems fine, however, one strange thing that I haven't seen mentioned is that after 30 minutes from booting I get a message pop up saying that btrfs is mounting a removable drive, immediately followed by a message that btrfs is unmounting a drive. I don't have any drives plugged into my pi so this is odd but no big issue - any ideas ?

RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread
I was very happy with beta 2 but this morning XBMC fails when I try to play a video. Video is playing in background because the timer is running and I can control the video. But I can't hear nothing and I can`t see the image.
This is my log: Terminal 05:12:25 T:3041481248 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize : OMX.broadcom.image_decode handle 0xa4727c18 dllopen : 1 05:12:25 T:3041481248 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize OMX.broadcom.image_decode input port 320 output port 321 05:12:25 T:3041481248 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize : OMX.broadcom.resize handle 0xa4703cf8 dllopen : 1 05:12:25 T:3041481248 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize OMX.broadcom.resize input port 60 output port 61 05:12:25 T:3041481248 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::AllocInputBuffers component(OMX.broadcom.image_decode) - port(320), nBufferCountMin(2), nBufferCountActual(3), nBufferSize(81920), nBufferAlignmen(16) 05:12:25 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize : OMX.broadcom.audio_splitter handle 0x21abb38 dllopen : 1 05:12:25 T:3041481248 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::AllocOutputBuffers component(OMX.broadcom.resize) - port(61), nBufferCountMin(1), nBufferCountActual(1), nBufferSize(3686400) nBufferAlignmen(16) 05:12:25 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize OMX.broadcom.audio_splitter input port 261 output port 262 05:12:25 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize : OMX.broadcom.audio_render handle 0x32b2fc8 dllopen : 1 05:12:25 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize OMX.broadcom.audio_render input port 100 output port 100 05:12:25 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize : OMX.broadcom.audio_render handle 0x20eecd0 dllopen : 1 05:12:25 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXCoreComponent::Initialize OMX.broadcom.audio_render input port 100 output port 100 05:12:26 T:2716857408 ERROR: COMXCoreTunel::Establish - could not setup tunnel src OMX.broadcom.audio_splitter port 262 dst OMX.broadcom.audio_render port 100 omx_err(0x8000100c) 05:12:26 T:2716857408 ERROR: COMXAudio::Initialize - Error m_omx_tunnel_splitter_analog.Establish 0x8000100c 05:12:26 T:2716857408 ERROR: COMXAudio::AddPackets - error PortSettingsChanged omx_err(0x00000000) 05:12:26 T:2716857408 INFO: COMXPlayerAudio - Switching to normal playback 05:12:26 T:2758800448 DEBUG: COMXPlayer::HandleMessages - player started RESET 05:12:26 T:2758800448 NOTICE: OMXClock using audio as reference 05:12:26 T:2758800448 DEBUG: OMXClock::OMXReset audio / video : 1 / 1 wait mask 0->3 state : 2->1 05:12:26 T:2758800448 DEBUG: COMXPlayer::HandleMessages - player started 1 (tpa:0,a:1,v:1) 05:12:26 T:2758800448 DEBUG: COMXPlayer::SetCaching - caching state 0 05:12:26 T:2716857408 DEBUG: COMXPlayerAudio - CDVDMsg::PLAYER_SETSPEED 1000 05:12:26 T:2716857408 DEBUG: CDVDPlayerAudio - CDVDMsg::GENERAL_RESYNC(-4503599627370496.000000, 10000.000000, 1) 05:12:26 T:2902455360 DEBUG: COMXPlayerVideo - CDVDMsg::PLAYER_SETSPEED 1000 05:12:26 T:2902455360 DEBUG: CDVDPlayerVideo - CDVDMsg::GENERAL_RESYNC(-4503599627370496.000000, 0) 05:12:26 T:2902455360 ERROR: Output - renderer not started 05:12:26 T:2902455360 ERROR: Previous line repeats 11 times. 05:12:26 T:2902455360 DEBUG: ResolutionUpdateCallBack - change configuration. video:1920x1080. framerate: 23.98. 1920x1080 format: BYPASS 05:12:26 T:2902455360 DEBUG: Found Resolution 1920x1080 @ 24.00 - Full Screen (23) from override of fps 23.976 (fpsmin:23.966 fpsmax:23.986 refreshmin:23.990 refreshmax:24.010) 05:12:26 T:2902455360 NOTICE: Display resolution ADJUST : 1920x1080 @ 24.00 - Full Screen (23) (weight: 0.001) 05:12:26 T:2902455360 NOTICE: CXBMCRenderManager::ResetRenderBuffer - using 5 render buffers |

Why do people don't realize, if you dump complete log files in a forum it becomes completely unreadable. Just use pastebin and post the link please.

RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread
Ok so upgrade to Beta 2 when smoothly on two PIs. Running great.
Notice an annoying issue with how navigation has changed in respect to TV shows. Beta 1.1: TV Shows>List of Shows>Show A seasons list>Season 1 episodes list. If I press back/return button, it used to go back to previous screen. example. If I am Show A season list screen, back/return will take me back to list of shows screen. Since Beta two, no matter where you are pressing back/return takes you back to the main menu with TV shows selected. Is this a bug? I can't figure out if this was a setting based change. Can someone with TV shows confirm this behavior.. I can't be the only one experiencing this issue. |

When I try to open \\xbian samba share, I see 5 folders there. But the smb.conf file contains only 3 of them. Where is .conf for other folders?

RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread
Anyone having issues with music playback, I seem to be getting stuttering and lockups. Sometimes I can play a complete album without issue, others will have issues within seconds. I don't recall this being a problem prior to beta 2

RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread
@Baz8755 I play music all the time and I've never had any issues.
Can you isolate a particular track and does it occur at the same point each time or is it random? If it's at the same point, it sounds more like a decoding problem, if random, then it could be a CPU, N/W or something else. Can you post the output from dmesg, vmstat 5 10 and xbmc.log as soon as it happens. That's interesting, do you run any visualisations. I am just trying to play one of the troublesome albums from this afternoon without visualisation and so far no issues. Normally have spectrum.
The only other consideration may be that as I am powering from TiVo USB it may be a power issue but without being able to reliably recreate it may be difficult to prove. |

I am facing also some sound issues with Beta2.
I am using squeezelite with a sound blaster play usb sound card. In alfa 5 I did not have any issues. In Beta1, Beta1.1 and Beta2 i have cracky sound. It drives me cazy. I tried various cmdline.txt options (USB related) Just FYI Somebody has any suggestion? KB |

How about making it policy, that anyone not following the rules as set out in "PRBYP" better known as "Please Read Before You Post" can have their posts [spoil]ed, deleted or even risk having their user banned for a period. Or even worse - change their avatar to say Follow the Rules I personally will give my time to someone who has supplied all of the requested data in the correct manner over someone who hasn't. @rikardo1979 Maybe you could add something to the "New" PRBYP banner that says "Users who supply this information will be given priority from the Xbian team". In deference to some users - the Xbian search function is not the slickest - I have searched for something I know that exists - and it hasn't found it.
