RE: XBian Release Candidate 3
new image seems to fix the CEC issue and also the refresh rate switching which is great.
but there is another bug which I have found.
there are bits of GUI which seems to get stucked on screen when video playing. Like pause, or Working wheel, or media info when pressing Option, etc..
any idea?

I noticed the same problem after a fresh and then upgraded RC3 image from yesterday.
GUI and subtitles get all cluttered below the image.

Does upgrading XBMC fix this?

RE: XBian Release Candidate 3
Love RC3. Looking around in the packages and found x11 -> xserver-xorg-video-imx-viv. I tried searching to find more information about it but didn't find anything. What is this more exactly?
And also, a lot of 6q-packages have popped up, what is these?
Want to learn more Smile

Hmm, they shouldn't be there. Can you create an issue about it on github so we can fix this. Won't affect general useability though.
Aahh, those packages are indeed available for installation. I though they where actually installed.

The packages you mention belong to the CuBox-I / HummingBoard XBian version.

No, I also noticed this bug, and with the last update of xbmc, the bug is still there. It happens when you have a video with a different aspect ratio than your monitor resolution, for example playing a 1920x800 video on a 1920x1080 TV.
The video plays fine, but in the black bars on the top and the bottom, every GUI element remain stuck.

Seems to be a XBMC issue instead of a XBian one.

Well, I tested xbmc 13.2 also with some xbian's "competitors", but there wasn't this bug, even if the xbmc version was the same.

Anyway, I must compliment with you, this realese gave me the fastest and the smoothest xbmc experience on the raspberry, well doneSmile

Just to let you know that ALSA support is borked in RC3 - Tried on 2 pi's now with same result. Even a manual install of alsa-utils and alsa-base didn't cure it.
