Feel free to discuss about the XBMC 12.2 update here!
UPDATE (07/05/2013): Some people had an issue where XBMC wasn't starting up after the update (hang at Starting XBMC...). This issue has now been solved. You can fix your broken XBMC by executing.
Code:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xbian-package-xbmc -y

Look at the frontpage, we just released it for XBian 1.0 Alpha 5!

Thanks, I see it now. I guess the RSS-feed is a bit slower than the forum.
Will update later today!
Looks like the update has broken something on my side, I was running a clean 1.0 alpha 5 install, no plugins, only 1 smb share.
I'm stuck on splash and this is what I have if I try to launch xbmc manually:
Code:
xbian@xbian ~ $ /usr/local/lib/xbmc/xbmc.bin
Illegal instruction
Did you have all the updates before getting xbmc 12.2? if you get alpha 5 clean install I dnt think it has the latest firmware updates, or xbmc 12.1 (aka 2.1). so you need to get those before.

Tbh, that might be something you should either have checked before the update runs, or you should at least warn about before updating...
I already had the latest update/firmware installed. (2/3 weeks ago)
I also tried to remove my .xbmc folder, but still have the same error.
That shouldn't be a problem (I tested it from a clean alpha 5), can you do
Code:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xbian-package-xbmc
reinstalling the package did not fix the issue.
I'll try to do a fresh reinstall, not a big deal.
Getting crash-out with "*** glibc detected *** /usr/local/lib/xbmc/xbmc.bin: malloc(): memory corruption: 0x02180ad8 ***" when loading with the cmyth PVR plugin.
Is it working for someone?

OFC it does...otherwise it won't be released
Because this looks like it might be a libc issue, the first step is going to be getting xbian synced back up with raspbian's libc version or there's no point asking for upstream fixes from xbmc.
Please remove this update from the repo.
