Ok - That's confirmed.
Hmm we can't go back, we can't go forward because Gotham has that Picture crash, so it may have to stay. Do you know if it is used much?
I have changed the sources.list to http://ivka57..... But when I run apt-get update it times out and gives me the error
Could not connect to ivka57.dyndns-ip.com:80 (5.178.58.228), connection timed out

Certainly sounds like the server is down.
Have you tried to ping it?
Seems to be up at my end.

I've been able to successfully ping "ivka57.dyndns-ip.com" but still no joy when i run "apt-get update"
Does this seem right? It worked the first time but halfway through the update, my girlfriend decided to unplug the pi to use the hair dryer! I did a fresh format of the SD card and restarted the whole process again but this time I am now getting this error.
So, my apt-get install xbian-update has been running for about 28hrs, and it still says "Preconfiguring Packages..." and hasnt changed screens. I can still ping the Pi, but cannot open a new SSH to the PI.
How long does this install typically take? Should I just reformat and try again...or does this just take a while longer?
Thanks!
You should be done within an hour. Something is obviously wrong.

Could you at least warn us when your server will be down, it is quite aggrevating to have an update break mid-process!

Is the server down? I haven't read this anywhere.

Yes the server is down, try an apt update.
Yeah, probably it is or at least seems to have an issue.
As it is a private local machine of mk01, we have to wait for an statement of him, sorry.
But I know it's planned to move the development environment to a complete new server, so that this shouldn't happen again in the future.

Thanks for the update. I'll stop trying the update and wait for an update from mk01 [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
Cheers guys
I know that the possibility to boot from usb being developed, but could this also be used to boot from NFS?
I tried it with Beta 1.1 but couldn't get the settings right for fstab and cmdline.txt.
Are there any people who succeeded in doing this?

I believe mk01 does this currently, or it may be ricardo1979...either way it's already possible.
Six hours and the server is still down
